Last Updated: April 14, 2025

Introduction

We at IMA Team, Inc., are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile device platform (App), our team management and calendaring of events services, and other services for our practices of collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing your personal information.

This Privacy Policy covers:

  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • International data transfers
  • Data retention and security measures

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Services.

What Information We Collect and Why

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, including:

  • Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • Demographic information (age, gender, location, etc.)
  • Activity on our platform (posts, messages, team events, etc.)

We collect this information:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us.
  • Automatically as you navigate through the site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

  • To provide you with our services and their contents.
  • To protect our Users from illegal or abusive content.
  • Notifying you about changes to our services or any products or services weoffer or provide through it.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features on our services.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as you maintain a valid account with IMATEAM. After account closure, your data will be deleted within 12 months, unless there is a legitimate business need to retain it longer, in which case we will only retain the data for as long as necessary. We may also retain certain information in backup files for a reasonable period as required for legal, tax, or regulatory reasons, even after you delete your account.

International Data Transfers

As a global service provider, IMATEAM may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own. We ensure that these transfers comply with applicable data protection laws by implementing appropriate safeguards, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission
  • Data Processing Agreements with our service providers
  • Compliance with regional certifications and frameworks such as the EU-USPrivacy Shield Framework, where applicable

By using our Services, you consent to your data being transferred, stored, and processed in countries where data protection standards may differ from those in your country of residence.

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data both in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption technologies
  • Regular security assessments and audits
  • Access controls and authentication procedures
  • Staff training on data protection and security

While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable laws. Our notification will include information about the breach, the data affected, steps we're taking to mitigate harm, and contact information for further assistance.

Disclosure of Your Information

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties unless it is necessary for providing our services, or when required by law. When we do share data with service providers or partners, we ensure they comply with our privacy standards through appropriate contractual commitments.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

IMATEAM may use "Cookies" and similar technologies to enhance your experience on our Service. By using our App, you consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy. Please note that certain essential cookies are required for the App to function properly, and rejecting these cookies may prevent you from using the Service. Most web browsers can be set to disable the use of Cookies; however, if you disable Cookies, you may not be able to access functionality on our Service correctly or at all.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, you are not allowed to register for an account, so please do not send any information about yourself to us.

For users between the ages of 13 and 18, IMATEAM uses "Kids Web Services" (KWS) to verify parental consent. The signup process requires providing a parent/guardian email address and will be halted until the parent/guardian responds to the verification email with approval. If there is no response to the automatically generated email sent by KWS, validation will be considered failed, and we will remove the registration. This verification process helps us maintain compliance with child protection regulations and ensures that parents/guardians are aware of and approve their child's use of our Services.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting our support team. Upon account deletion, your personal information will be marked for deletion and removed from our active systems within a reasonable time period. As noted in our Data Retention section, certain information may be retained in backup systems for a limited period for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to request that we disclose certain information about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. You also have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.

To exercise your rights under the CCPA, please submit a verifiable consumer request through our website or by contacting us using the information provided at the end of this policy.

Data Protection Rights under GDPR

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights, including:

  • The right to access, update or delete your personal information
  • The right of rectification if information is inaccurate or incomplete
  • The right to object to our processing of your personal data
  • The right of restriction, the right to data portability, and the right to be forgotten
